The Council accomplishes this mission by helping to ensure that individuals with developmental disabilities and their family members play a vital role in the design of and access to quality delivery of services, supports and other assistance and opportunities.

News and Updates:

We, the CNMI Tri-Agency, consisting of the Northern Marianas Protection & Advocacy Systems, Inc. (NMPASI), the Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities (CDD), and the University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD), along with the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR), have collaborated to bring you our newsletter “Disability Watch”.

This newsletter was created by our organizations because we saw a need for more information dissemination about disabilities in the CNMI. This will be a quarterly newsletter and we encourage any organization or group that would like to inquire, collaborate and or share information about or related to disabilities in the CNMI to contact any of our agencies for more information.

CNMI-wide, and across the nation, organizations devoted to serving individuals with developmental disabilities encouraging people to understand that when people with disabilities are welcomed into local neighborhoods, workplaces, houses of worship, and schools everyone wins. “This is a time when our organization focuses on encouraging the public to better understand the individuals we serve,” said John DLG.
